September 25-26, 2010 and September 27-28, 2014 Reenactment of the Civil War Battle of Pilot Knob Fort Davidson State Historic Site. Click below for information. Battle of Pilot Knob Reenactment My name is Bruce Morgan. I am owner of the "Historic Route 66 Walk Through Time" Renaissance Festival, which will be held in Carterville, Missouri on July 25-26, 2009. This year as well as a Renaissance Festival, we are expanding into a living history tour. The festival will be held on an empty lot, just west of Shirley's Tavern. We are also blocking off three blocks of Main Street. These will be a dedicated 1800's, 1900's and 2000's area. Each with their own period appropriate vendors and entertainment. We would very much like to have a Civil War encampment included in the 1800's area. This year we do not the funds available for a full scale reenactment. This will be the first ever Renaissance Festival on Route 66. Hours and dates are Saturday and Sunday July 25-26 from 10:00 AM til 7:00 PM.
