Contributed by: Jesse Sherwood Bennet S. Phillips of Linnaeus, MO enlisted in the 10th Missouri Infantry " D Company" for the Confederacy. He was captured in Arkansas by Union troops and imprisoned at Alton ILL until he was sent to City Point VA for Prisoner Exchange at the end of the war.
