ELI CHRISTIAN ROBERTSON Eli was a farmer and served in the Civil War as a Confederate soldier. He enlisted December 31, 1861 at Springfield, Missouri at the age of 21. He served under Colonel Elijah Gates of St Joseph, Missouri and Captain Enyart. He fought in battles at Blue Mills, Lexington, Bentonville, Elk Horn, Farmington, Iuka, Corinth, Bakers Creek, Big Black, and Vicksburg. He served in M.S.G. Company B, Patton's 1st and 3rd Regiment, Missouri Calvary. He was wounded the first day of battle at Nashville, Tennessee. His unit under command of Lt. Gen, R. Taylor, surrendered to Maj. Gen. E.R.S. Canby on May 4,1865 at Citronele, Alabama. He was "paroled", 13 May 1865 at Jackson, Mississippi. He died in the Confederate Home of Missouri, Higginville, Missouri.
